Wine Black Pyramid

A Premium Package Inspired by Ancient Egypt

The Wine Black Pyramid, designed by Oksana Kashkovskaya, is a limited edition package that draws inspiration from the awe-inspiring pyramids of ancient Egypt. The strict shapes and magical representation of the pyramids served as the main inspiration for this design. The designer aimed to create a new design that pays homage to the past while incorporating a modern look.

The package consists of four bottles of wine, each representing one of the four natural elements - fire, earth, water, and air. The bottles are made of black glass and are covered with a metal material that resembles the ancient clothing of Egyptian people. The packaging, made of rigid cardboard, has the shape of a triangle, and when the four packages are assembled, they form the full shape of a pyramid. The exterior of the packaging is black, resembling the surface of volcanic rock.

The Wine Black Pyramid package is not only visually stunning but also incorporates unique features. The bottles are covered with luminescent transparent varnish, which reveals metal symbols representing the four elements. These symbols can only be fully seen in the darkness, adding a touch of mystery and magic to the design.

The packaging itself is made of rigid cardboard, with the front part covered in gold foil, resembling a gold bullion. The lid is made of a soft type of light-colored stone, adding a luxurious touch to the overall design. The shape of the bottle is meticulously crafted to perfectly fit into the pyramid packaging.

The Wine Black Pyramid package measures H 43cm W 30cm, with the bottles standing at a height of 26cm. The design project started in September 2018 and was completed in February 2019.

The Wine Black Pyramid package offers a unique interaction for consumers. To experience the full magic of the design, one simply needs to open the packaging at night and witness the luminescent symbols representing the four elements. Each bottle offers a distinct flavor, allowing consumers to indulge in the amazing taste of the wine.

Oksana Kashkovskaya's Wine Black Pyramid design has received recognition in the design industry. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2020.
